About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be at the heart of core accounting operations, focusing on technical accounting challenges unique to SaaS businesses. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will include:

• Overseeing the complete revenue accounting lifecycle: from contract reviews and performance obligation identification to deferred revenue scheduling and recognition per ASC 606 standards.
• Managing deferred contract costs under ASC 340-40, including capitalization, amortization schedules for sales commissions, and related financial impacts.
• Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial closes with minimal variances.
• Preparing complex journal entries, conducting thorough balance sheet reconciliations for revenue, accruals, and deferred accounts.
• Supporting financial statement preparation, flux analysis, and external audit processes with detailed schedules, documentation, and clear variance explanations.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to automate processes, implement best-in-class internal controls, and optimize reporting efficiency using modern ERP tools.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, you'll bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA preferred).
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in SaaS/subscription revenue environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 340-40 Customer Payments and Contract Costs.
• Hands-on experience with revenue recognition software, ERP systems like NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks, and Excel advanced functions.
• Proven track record in month-end close ownership, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle complex technical accounting issues.
