The Sr. Accountant will play a central role in maintaining financial integrity across multiple functions. Daily tasks include meticulous preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to uphold compliance and accuracy. You will conduct in-depth analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss variances, delivering insights that empower leadership to make informed decisions.
Financial close processes are a cornerstone, where you'll assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings while maintaining audit-ready documentation. In accounts payable, expect to manage transactions, resolve exception queues, verify automated invoice processes, and administer payment cycles including ACH, checks, and wires. As a backup for AR and cash application, you'll advise on complex billing, monitor aging reports, reconcile customer accounts, and support dispute resolutions.
Cash management duties encompass daily reconciliations, deposit posting, and aiding in cash flow forecasting with precise AP/AR/banking reports. Tax compliance involves sales and use tax administration, nexus monitoring in ERP and Avalara, and audit support. Additionally, collaborate with operations on production costs, inventory tracking, standard cost maintenance, and resolving cross-functional discrepancies to optimize supply chain strategies. Finally, leverage Epicor Kinetic for data entry, validation, and automation projects to streamline workflows.
To succeed as our Sr. Accountant, candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, plus 5+ years of progressive experience in senior accounting roles. Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and ERP systems—particularly Epicor Kinetic and Avalara—is essential. Proven skills in variance analysis, AP/AR management, tax compliance, and audit preparation are required, alongside strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving prowess.
