Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end closing procedures with meticulous attention to detail, upholding GAAP standards and internal policies to close books accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, tracking all financial transactions from leases and maintenance to capital expenditures.
  • Create and post precise journal entries to capture accruals, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and other real estate-specific adjustments.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations, swiftly identifying and resolving discrepancies in vendor statements, tenant ledgers, and intercompany accounts.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, verifying all deposits, wires, and ACH transactions align with recorded entries.
  • Collaborate closely with management, responding to financial inquiries and delivering data-driven recommendations to enhance profitability.
  • Monitor and strengthen internal financial controls, proposing process improvements like automation tools to streamline operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax filings, HUD reporting, and fair housing standards.
  • Support external and internal audits by compiling documentation, explaining variances, and implementing audit findings.

Required Qualifications
