Key Responsibilities

As Sr. Compensation Analyst, you'll take ownership of critical functions in compensation management.

Compensation Strategy & Program Design

  • Lead the development of competitive compensation programs, including base pay structures, short-term incentives, and long-term equity plans.
  • Analyze existing programs and recommend enhancements to maintain market competitiveness and internal equity.

Market Research & Benchmarking

  • Conduct in-depth market analyses to identify salary trends, emerging conditions, and benchmarks for roles across global markets.
  • Utilize salary surveys, proprietary data sources, and advanced analytics to propose data-backed adjustments to compensation structures.

Job Evaluation & Pay Grading

  • Spearhead the job evaluation process, analyzing roles and assigning appropriate pay grades for new and existing positions.
  • Guide HR and business leaders on job leveling methodologies and best practices for internal equity.

Compliance, Collaboration & Reporting

  • Ensure all compensation initiatives fully comply with federal, state, local laws, and regulations like FLSA and pay equity standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, leading communications on compensation programs and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Develop precise, actionable compensation reports and dashboards using data analysis tools.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor junior compensation analysts, fostering their growth in a supportive team environment.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional HR projects focused on total rewards and compensation innovation.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Sr. Compensation Analyst role, you need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or CCP certification preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation analysis, with proven expertise in program design and market pricing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors), and compensation tools like Radford or Mercer surveys.
  • Strong data analytics skills, including statistical modeling and visualization for compensation forecasting.
