We're seeking a Senior Content Operations Editor for a high-impact, 3-month contract position in Bellevue, Washington. This onsite role (5 days/week, 40 hours/week) offers a competitive pay rate of $35-40/hour and focuses on modernizing HR and employee experience content portfolios. As a systems-minded editor at the intersection of content, technology, and operations, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming unstructured content into scalable, reusable, AI-ready structures that enhance employee engagement across multiple channels.
This position reports to HR for Employee Experience and involves close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, possess deep CMS expertise, and have a passion for content governance that supports emerging AI use cases. Join us to drive content transformation in a prestigious organization and advance your career in content operations.
Lead the modernization effort by chunking long-form, unstructured content into structured, reusable components. Migrate content from diverse sources into modern CMS platforms, creating 'headless' content models optimized for multi-channel delivery and AI applications.
Implement and promote standardized taxonomies and metadata frameworks to make content discoverable, reusable, and consistently tagged across systems. Reduce duplication and manual maintenance through strategic content reuse strategies.
Handle stakeholder requests to create, update, and maintain content within CMS, adhering to SLAs, governance policies, and timelines. Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of quality and compliance.
Review articles, policies, assets, and fragments for clarity, accuracy, grammar, consistency, and style guide compliance. Conduct regular audits and data-driven analysis to uphold portfolio-wide excellence.
Work seamlessly with team members and stakeholders to deliver results in a dynamic environment. Champion content operations best practices throughout the transformation initiative.
To succeed, candidates need 5+ years in content operations or editing, with proven CMS proficiency (headless preferred). Expertise in content modeling, metadata, and transforming unstructured content is essential. Strong editing skills, analytical mindset for audits, and experience with AI-ready content are key. Comfort with fast-paced collaboration and systems thinking sets top performers apart. A degree in Communications or related field is advantageous.
