About the Role

• Prepare comprehensive financial reporting, including capital calls, distributions, capital account activity, management fees, and intricate waterfall calculations.
• Support quarterly close processes, meticulously reviewing deliverables from third-party fund administrators and service providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in annual audits, tax filings, and 1099 processes, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Calculate quarterly Net Asset Values (NAV), prepare annual financial statements, and generate detailed partner capital statements.
• Develop performance reporting and analytics to provide investment teams with critical insights.
• Collaborate with investor relations and portfolio managers to support capital raising and reporting needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in fund accounting workflows to drive efficiency.
• Maintain meticulous records and ensure all reporting adheres to GAAP and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred).
• 3-5+ years of progressive fund accounting experience, ideally within investment management or private equity/venture capital firms.
• Deep expertise in fund accounting principles, including waterfalls, capital accounts, NAV, and performance measurement.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modeling, and fund administration software (e.g., Investran, Advent, or Yardi).
