Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, optimizing cash flow through timely payments and collections.
• Handle sophisticated billing processes, from invoice generation to payment reconciliation, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
• Process payroll for project teams, adhering to federal, state, and company regulations while minimizing errors.
• Perform detailed account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Leverage industry-leading software such as Procore and Deltek Costpoint to automate workflows, enhance data accuracy, and generate real-time reports.
• Partner with project managers, executives, and stakeholders to provide financial analysis, answer queries, and offer actionable insights.
• Take on ad-hoc accounting tasks, contributing to process improvements and team efficiency in a collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Sr Project Accountant role, candidates should bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in project accounting, with a strong preference for construction or real estate sectors.
