Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly and quarterly financial close activities, including preparing month-end journal entries and performing detailed balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Scrutinize trial balances and transactional data to pinpoint and resolve discrepancies, fostering a deeper understanding of business operations.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of balance sheet and income statement fluctuations across periods, identifying key trends to support segment teams in effective business management.
• Support the rollout of new accounting pronouncements, offering actionable insights to commercial teams on potential business impacts.
• Proactively identify non-value-added activities and collaborate on streamlining processes to boost team efficiency.
• Develop and implement new controls and procedures to strengthen the accounting control environment and mitigate risks.
• Guarantee adherence to internal reporting deadlines, Duracell Standard Practice Instructions, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) regulations.
• Partner with Corporate FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and outlook processes to inform strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications

To excel as a Staff Accountant, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of progressive staff accounting experience, ideally in investment or corporate finance settings.
• Advanced proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, Excel, and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance, internal controls, and FCPA requirements.
• Strong analytical skills for financial trend analysis and issue resolution.
