As a Staff Accountant in construction/project accounting, you will be the financial backbone for high-profile projects in Colorado Springs. • Tracking and maintaining comprehensive project financials, monitoring budgets, actual costs, and forecasts from inception through completion and closeout.
• Preparing and reviewing owner billings, including AIA forms and progress billings, to maintain healthy project cash flow and meet contractual milestones.
• Processing subcontractor pay applications, securing lien waivers, and managing vendor invoices in strict adherence to contract terms, retainage schedules, and payment deadlines.
• Conducting regular job cost reviews and variance analysis with Project Managers to identify overruns, underutilizations, or risks, and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintaining proactive communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments, resolve discrepancies, and uphold accurate reporting.
• Compiling, analyzing, and presenting detailed monthly project financial reports, including profit/loss statements, cash flow projections, and KPI dashboards for leadership review.
• Supporting all financial and administrative elements of project closeout, such as final billing, retainage release, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
