Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, your day-to-day will involve a mix of operational accounting, analysis, and oversight duties:

  • Collaborate closely with the accounting staff to verify and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are precise and compliant.
  • Lead the monthly accounting close process, delivering accurate and timely financial data to support business decisions.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager and operating companies to establish robust financial controls that mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the outsourced fixed asset register, meticulously recording asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Manage centralized cash funding, intercompany transfers, and group cash management, including performing detailed bank reconciliations.
  • Partner with the corporate accounting team to prepare internal and external financial reporting, while analyzing key metrics to evaluate overall company performance.
  • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with precision and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and uphold meticulous record-keeping standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Champion continuous process improvements during month-end closes to streamline operations and reduce cycle times.

Required Qualifications
