Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will be varied and impactful:

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

  • Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Analyze financial data trends and variances, producing detailed reports for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits by compiling documentation, responding to inquiries, and resolving findings.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, inventory, and production teams to validate cost data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as needed.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for all transactions and processes.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and data visualization.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings clearly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with non-finance stakeholders.
