Drive Community Impact: Lead legal outreach efforts, including community workshops, know-your-rights trainings, and public education on tenant rights. Manage legal referrals, assess case viability, and assign matters strategically.
Build Strategic Alliances: Cultivate relationships with Bronx Housing Court judges, clerks, government agencies, and nonprofit partners. Participate actively in Universal Access meetings and working groups to shape policy and improve access to justice. To excel as Supervising Attorney, candidates must hold a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to the New York State Bar. Proficiency in non-payment and holdover proceedings is essential, alongside demonstrated skills in high-volume caseload management and Universal Access protocols.
Strong leadership acumen, including mentorship, training, and team motivation, is required. Bilingual abilities in Spanish are highly preferred to serve the Bronx's diverse population.
