Masterfully handle ASC 740 income tax provisions, including calculations for deferred tax assets and liabilities, to support accurate financial reporting.
Drive proactive tax planning to safeguard the bottom line. Develop innovative strategies that enhance cash flow and reduce liabilities in multi-state operations. Offer expert counsel on tax implications for high-stakes decisions like opening new locations, restructuring entities, or pursuing acquisitions. Conduct in-depth research and documentation of industry-specific tax issues to keep the organization ahead of the curve.
Be the steadfast guardian against tax risks. Serve as the primary liaison with external advisors and regulatory bodies. Spearhead tax audits from preparation through resolution, devising strategies that protect the company's interests. Establish and monitor robust internal controls to ensure process integrity and risk mitigation.
Bridge silos by partnering with accounting, finance, and legal stakeholders to integrate tax insights into business transactions. Oversee tax-related fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and supporting systems. Build and lead high-performing internal tax teams or expertly manage outsourced providers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
To excel as our Tax Director, you bring a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field, paired with CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification. You possess 10+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional settings. Expertise in ASC 740, federal/state tax compliance, audit management, and strategic tax planning is non-negotiable.
