Key Responsibilities

Global Tax Strategy & Advisory

  • Architect comprehensive global tax planning strategies supporting cross-border M&A, restructurings, business expansions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify tax optimization opportunities while maintaining ironclad compliance across all jurisdictions.
  • Lead implementation of emerging global tax regimes including OECD Pillar Two readiness and execution.
  • Collaborate with Treasury on cash repatriation, capital structure optimization, and efficient global cash flow management.
  • Provide expert tax modeling, due diligence, and integration planning for M&A transactions.

Global Tax Compliance & Reporting (ASC 740)

  • Direct preparation of accurate global tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and year-end financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely filings across U.S. federal, state, and international jurisdictions with full U.S. GAAP/ASC 740 compliance.
  • Oversee effective tax rate analysis and forecasting for executive decision-making.

Transfer Pricing & International Tax Mastery

  • Develop and maintain robust global transfer pricing policies, Master File, and Local File documentation.
  • Optimize U.S. international tax attributes including GILTI, FDII, Subpart F income, and Foreign Tax Credits.
  • Design tax-efficient entity structures supporting international market expansion.

Audit Leadership & Risk Management

  • Manage all phases of federal, state, and international tax audits with superior documentation and defensible positions.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, Big 4 auditors, and external advisors to resolve controversies efficiently.

Team Leadership & Digital Transformation

  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a world-class global tax team capable of supporting complex multinational operations.
  • Drive adoption of cutting-edge tax technology, automation tools, and data analytics to revolutionize processes.
  • Eliminate manual workflows through scalable digital solutions accelerating close cycles and enhancing accuracy.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this pivotal role, candidates must demonstrate:

  • 10+ years of progressive tax leadership, ideally within global manufacturing, oil & gas, or energy sectors.
  • Advanced mastery of U.S. international tax provisions and cross-border compliance.
  • Proven success leading transfer pricing programs and OECD Pillar Two implementations.
  • CPA certification, JD/LLM in Taxation strongly preferred; Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance required.
