Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the Corporate Controller and Financial Analyst, mentoring them to deliver efficient, accurate financial operations.
• Lead timely month-end closings, ensuring GAAP compliance and pinpoint accuracy across all entities.
• Conduct in-depth reviews of monthly financial statements for apartment operations, driving transparency and actionable insights.
• Maintain and update quarterly operating proformas for every entity, incorporating real-time performance data and forward-looking projections.
• Direct the consolidation of P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses to provide a holistic financial view.
• Craft compelling quarterly reports tailored for executive meetings and board presentations, highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
• Manage appraisals, loan draw processes, and related documentation to uphold regulatory standards and secure funding.
• Build sophisticated ad hoc financial models and cash flow forecasts to inform critical decisions on investments and expansions.
• Engage with C-suite leaders through clear, strategic communication, ensuring financial plans support broader organizational goals.
• Cultivate a culture of proactive leadership, emphasizing risk management, team collaboration, and unwavering transparency.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this VP/Director of Finance role, you bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
