The Mission Hardware team within the C4IA ( Command, Control, Communications, Cyber Intelligence, and Autonomy) Engineering department is seeking a motivated, innovative, and collaborative Electrical Engineer II to support the design and development of cutting-edge Mission Computing products.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers while also taking ownership of smaller projects. You’ll apply your expertise in electrical engineering to design, develop, and support both digital and analog hardware for advanced mission computing systems. What You Will Do

  • Designing and developing complex digital and analog circuit boards for embedded systems

  • Creating schematics and supporting PCB layout activities

  • Participating in hardware verification, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

  • Collaborating across disciplines to support system integration and qualification

  • Generating clear, accurate technical documentation

  • Supporting proposal activities and contributing to cost and schedule estimates

  • Working in a structured, process-driven engineering environment

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Python, C++, or MATLAB programming/scripting

  • Signal integrity and timing analysis tools

  • Understanding of Design to Cost (DTC+), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Test (DFT)

  • Prior experience with schematic capture

  • Experience with requirements management and traceability tools

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
