What You Will Do:

Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. We have an opportunity for an Manufacturing Engineering Tech to be based in Columbus, GA.

This is a 1st-shift opportunity. Mon-Fri: 7:00am-3:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the machining business unit.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of machining techniques and processes for manufacturing.
  • Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements.
  • Assist in electronic work instruction update and creation for manufacturing use.
  • Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements.
  • Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • 5 years technical experience
  • 3 year manufacturing experience
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes or machines

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • CNC Machine operating and setup experience
  • 2 year technical certificate or associates degree
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite(Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • SAP experience
