Role Overview

As Safety Representative in Ford's Canadian PS&L Network, you will safeguard our workforce and operations in Paris, ON. This full-time role involves proactive safety management in a dynamic logistics environment, supporting warehousing, distribution, and parts supply for Ford dealerships nationwide. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll drive safety excellence through hands-on leadership:

• Perform regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments in PS&L facilities, identifying hazards in warehousing, forklift operations, and materials handling.
• Develop, deliver, and track safety training programs, including WHMIS, lockout/tagout, and emergency response for all shifts.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and injuries, leading root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Ensure adherence to Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Canada Labour Code, and Ford global safety policies.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and HR teams to foster a safety-first culture and support continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and Lean manufacturing.

Qualifications & Requirements

Ford seeks dedicated professionals with proven safety expertise:

• Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or working toward certification; Canadian OHS certifications (e.g., JHSC Part 1 & 2) highly valued.
• 3-5 years of health and safety experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or automotive logistics environments.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian safety regulations, including OHSA, TDG, and WSIB reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for training diverse teams; proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights/weekends, and physical capability for facility walkthroughs.

Preferred Skills

Experience with ISO 45001, behavioral safety programs, or automotive-specific hazards (e.g., battery handling for EVs) is a plus.
