Role Overview

The Sales Associate - Specialty Medical Products position at Cardinal Health offers an entry point into a dynamic sales career within the healthcare industry. Based in the California field territory, this role involves up to 80% travel across California, Nevada, and Hawaii to provide in-service support (technical, clinical, and educational) in acute hospital settings. Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Associate, you'll play a vital role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction. Key duties include:

  • Reporting to the Region Director of Sales to increase and promote assigned product lines by assisting the field organization.
  • Completing the full training curriculum as an Account Representative, including Field Training and Advanced Corporate Training.
  • Assisting in scheduling, coordinating, and conducting in-services, educational events, and value-added programs at key accounts.
  • Supporting sales team with administrative tasks such as cross-references, pricing analysis, contract reviews, and GPO report analysis.
  • Coordinating and monitoring product evaluations as directed by the Region Director or Account Representatives.
  • Assisting in open territories due to promotions, terminations, or extended leaves.
  • Enhancing knowledge through educational programs, seminars, conferences, journals, and committee participation.
  • Preparing for large meetings by creating presentations, sample packs, literature, and providing on-site assistance.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support team success.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-2 years in a sales or marketing role.

  • Valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 states with a clean driving record.
