Role Overview

The Sales Associate - Specialty Medical Products position at Cardinal Health offers an entry point into a dynamic sales career within the healthcare industry. Based in the California field territory, this role involves up to 80% travel across California, Nevada, and Hawaii to provide in-service support (technical, clinical, and educational) in acute hospital settings. Reporting to the Region Sales Director, you'll support hospital customers and the field sales team with our Specialty Medical Products portfolio, including Pneumatic Compression, Nutritional Delivery, Electrocardiography, and Sustainable Technologies Product Reprocessing. This is a full-time opportunity designed to build your sales skills through mentorship, product training, and corporate development programs, positioning you for advancement to a full Sales Representative role.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Associate, you'll play a vital role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction. Key duties include:

• Reporting to the Region Director of Sales to increase and promote assigned product lines by assisting the field organization.
• Completing the full training curriculum as an Account Representative, including Field Training and Advanced Corporate Training.
• Assisting in scheduling, coordinating, and conducting in-services, educational events, and value-added programs at key accounts.
• Supporting sales team with administrative tasks such as cross-references, pricing analysis, contract reviews, and GPO report analysis.
• Coordinating and monitoring product evaluations as directed by the Region Director or Account Representatives.
• Assisting in open territories due to promotions, terminations, or extended leaves.
• Enhancing knowledge through educational programs, seminars, conferences, journals, and committee participation.
• Preparing for large meetings by creating presentations, sample packs, literature, and providing on-site assistance.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support team success.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 0-2 years in a sales or marketing role.
• Excellent phone, written, and in-person communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

• Valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 states with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnights and weekends.
• Openness to regional relocation within 24 months of employment.

Anticipated salary range: $63,800 - $91,400 USD per year, with pay determined by location, education, experience, skills, and internal equity. This role is bonus ineligible but offers substantial growth potential.
