As a Sales Representative - Laboratory Products for Cardinal Health in the Portland Metro, Oregon field territory, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our high-quality Cardinal Health Brand Laboratory Products and Services. This position targets hospital and independent labs, focusing on custom kitting, distribution services, and a broad portfolio covering every lab discipline. You'll lead complex sales solutions, build lasting customer relationships, and drive growth in Cardinal Brand and Preferred National Brand products. Our team is deeply knowledgeable about clinical lab needs, supporting end-to-end testing workflows with innovative offerings like capital equipment and point-of-care options.
Take full ownership of the Oregon territory, with the primary goal of boosting account penetration and customer satisfaction in the lab sector. Drive new business opportunities by targeting Cardinal brand conversions and expanding our lab products portfolio and distribution services.
Partner with internal business units, national accounts, GPOs, and external vendors to deliver results. Negotiate local contracts, including costing agreements with manufacturers, while ensuring optimal service levels across operations, pricing, inventory, and customer support.
Implement principles of territory management, including account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation, and deal economics. Validate contacts, backdate contracts accurately, and maintain contract integrity by submitting all account maintenance through internal systems.
To succeed in this role, candidates should have a proven track record in medical or laboratory product sales, with a strong grasp of clinical lab industry dynamics such as increasing complexity and supply chain demands. Essential qualifications include experience managing large territories, expertise in account planning and contract negotiation, and familiarity with GPOs and national accounts. A bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and a results-driven mindset. Travel within Oregon is required, and you must be authorized to work in the U.S.
