Role Overview

As a Sales Representative - OR Products (Specialist) at Cardinal Health, you will drive revenue and profitability in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex territory, including areas like Texoma and Waco. This field-based role reports directly to the Region Sales Director, Specialty Products, and focuses on new business development and deepening penetration in existing acute care hospital accounts. Utilize a solution-based sales model to deliver products, solutions, and clinical insights, meeting and exceeding sales goals in a highly visible position. Anticipated pay range is $125,000 - $155,000 USD (including targeted variable pay), with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

  • Drive strategies to achieve sales goals across dedicated OR product categories within your assigned geography.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and execute sales opportunities, retaining current customers and winning new ones while navigating the market landscape.
  • Manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize sales tools like Salesforce to track trends, develop call strategies, and manage territory plans with required activity levels.
  • Build consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners, GPOs, and internal stakeholders such as marketing and customer service.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive work environment through team participation, open communication, and collaboration.
  • Master all products and sales applications, leading conversions, in-servicing, and product demonstrations.
  • Assist customers with inventory and service inquiries.
  • Complete administrative requirements timely, including expenses, compliance, and Salesforce updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience (preferred).
  • Sales, account/relationship management, or customer success experience (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and delivering presentations to small and large groups.
  • Self-motivation, proactive mindset, strong work ethic, and initiative-taking ability.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving attitude to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Resilient, confident attitude to overcome obstacles.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% within territory, including overnights.
