Role Overview

As a Sales Representative - OR Products (Specialist) at Cardinal Health, you will drive revenue and profitability in your territory by delivering products, solutions, and clinical insights to the acute care hospital marketplace. This field-based role focuses on new business development and increasing penetration in existing accounts. Reporting directly to the Region Sales Director, Specialty Products, you will meet and exceed sales goals through high-quality, solution-based consultations. The ideal territory covers San Jose, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and Monterey areas, with 10-20% overnight travel expected.

  • Driving strategies to achieve sales goals across dedicated OR product categories in your geography.
  • Proactively identifying, qualifying, and executing sales opportunities to retain and grow customer base while navigating the market landscape.
  • Managing multiple projects, maintaining accurate records, and prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilizing sales tools like Salesforce to track trends, develop call strategies, and manage territory plans with required activity levels.
  • Building consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners, GPOs, and internal teams such as marketing and customer service.
  • Championing a positive, inclusive work environment through team participation and open communication.
  • Mastering product knowledge to complete conversions, in-servicing, and demonstrations of applications and functionality.
  • Assisting customers with inventory and service inquiries.
  • Handling all administrative tasks timely, including expenses, compliance, and Salesforce updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience (preferred).
  • Prior experience in sales, account/relationship management, or customer success.
