Role Overview

As a Sales Supervisor at PepsiCo's Epping Bakery in Western Cape, South Africa, you will lead sales efforts in a dynamic FMCG environment. This full-time role focuses on modern trade channels including wholesale, away-from-home, forecourts, and modern trade outlets. You will meet revenue growth targets, ensure superior in-store execution, and manage key retail accounts to drive product availability and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Target Achievement and Account Management

Team Supervision and Operational Excellence

Conduct route ridings, sales meetings, and route optimization. Control discounts and pricing, supervise the promotions team, and deliver accurate weekly sales reports. Collect and report competitor intelligence to inform strategies.

Marketing and Promotional Execution

Compile and implement sales and promotional plans. Execute marketing activities, manage relationships with store managers and merchandisers, and conduct regular business reviews with key customers across wholesale, away-from-home, forecourts, and modern trade channels.

Stock and Availability Management

Track stock levels, drive product availability, and support customers to ensure seamless service. Leverage data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as Sales Supervisor, candidates need:

  • Minimum Matric with a Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales environments.
  • Strong computer skills, including SAP, DSD, MM, SD, and MS Office.
  • Business planning, vendor management, and budgeting skills (advantageous).
  • Code 10 valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong sales and negotiation skills, knowledge of modern trade, and a data-driven analytical mindset.
