This remote role in the EMEA region offers an exciting opportunity to work with enterprise-grade systems like Salesforce and NetSuite. You will deliver high-quality engineering solutions, optimize business processes, and ensure seamless operations for Canonical's global teams. • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues on business specifications, technical designs, and rigorous code reviews.
  • Deeply learn Canonical's business processes and implement enhancements for compliance and efficiency.
  • Depending on seniority, coach and mentor team members while providing career development feedback.
  • Evangelize and implement best practices in engineering and organizational processes to drive team excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you need a strong foundation in technical systems and business acumen:

  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative path to expertise.
  • Proven track record of exceeding expectations to deliver outstanding results.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar CRM/ERP systems.
  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Result-oriented mindset with personal drive to meet commitments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks.

Nice-to-have skills include performance engineering, security experience, or backgrounds in accounting, sales, or sales operations.

Benefits & Perks

Canonical offers competitive, performance-based compensation tailored to location, experience, and contributions, with annual reviews and bonuses. Beyond base pay, enjoy:

  • Fully distributed work environment with exciting twice-yearly in-person sprints.
  • USD 2,000 annual personal learning and development budget.
  • Performance-driven annual bonuses or commissions.
  • Recognition rewards, employee assistance program, and comprehensive leave policies including maternity and paternity.
  • Travel perks like Priority Pass and upgrades for long-haul company events.
  • Annual holiday leave and opportunities to explore new locations while meeting global colleagues.

We ensure fairness and balance in our global programs to meet local needs.

At Canonical, career progression is driven by performance and impact. You'll work in a high-standards environment that challenges you to think differently, work smarter, and learn continuously. Senior team members mentor juniors, fostering a culture of excellence. With regular compensation reviews—more frequent for graduates and associates—you'll be rewarded for outstanding results. Our remote-first model, combined with global sprints, builds networks and skills across open source, cloud, AI, and IoT domains. Invest in your growth with our learning budget and become a leader in business systems engineering.
