Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our Commercial Systems unit, specifically the Business Systems team. This remote role in the EMEA region offers an exciting opportunity to work with enterprise-grade systems like Salesforce and NetSuite. You will deliver high-quality engineering solutions, optimize business processes, and ensure seamless operations for Canonical's global teams. Ideal candidates are passionate about engineering excellence, process efficiency, and continuous skill development, with a drive to provide first-class experiences for internal users.

The Business Systems team collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and business units to implement compliant, efficient systems that support Canonical's growth in open source and enterprise markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust engineering solutions in NetSuite, Salesforce, and other integrated business systems to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues on business specifications, technical designs, and rigorous code reviews.
• Deeply learn Canonical's business processes and implement enhancements for compliance and efficiency.
• Depending on seniority, coach and mentor team members while providing career development feedback.
• Evangelize and implement best practices in engineering and organizational processes to drive team excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you need a strong foundation in technical systems and business acumen:

• Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative path to expertise.
• Proven track record of exceeding expectations to deliver outstanding results.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar CRM/ERP systems.
• Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
• Result-oriented mindset with personal drive to meet commitments.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks.

Nice-to-have skills include performance engineering, security experience, or backgrounds in accounting, sales, or sales operations.
