Our Oversight Engineering team is tightly integrated across all MuleSoft and Heroku product engineering teams. We work closely with these service teams across these two organizations to help them improve on Cost Optimization, Security, Compliance, Efficiency, Performance, and Resiliency for our commercial and public sector cloud environments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Work on large scale infrastructure that has millions of assets across multiple geo regions. Leverage the state of the art infrastructure and data technology, and build on top of Salesforce’s Data + AI platform: Data Cloud & Agentforce. Drive the planning and remediation of cloud efficiency issues across our cloud environmentsManage multiple projects simultaneously, develop strategies and plan/prioritize execution Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Compliance & Risk, Finance Partner, Business Operations, Sales and Pricing, to achieve MuleSoft/Heroku’s cost efficiency goals etc.Create attractive and informative visualizations on top of our data using TableauBuild intelligence to automatically detect and notify on anomalies.Help to share our work to the open source communityQualificationsIdeal candidates should have strong communication skills (both written and verbal), excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with engineering teams. It’s important that candidates have the ability to meet deadlines, keep organized records, and troubleshoot issues. Other requirements include:A related technical degree required 2+ years experience as a data scientist or data engineer2+ years experience working on AWSExperience developing on Salesforce platform, especially Data Cloud and Agentforce.Strong experience with query languages such as Python, SQL, SOQL, etcExperience with CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.Experience with AWS cost data analysis and finance data analytics (preferred)Experience with Kubernetes (preferred not required)Experience with Security and Compliance requirements (preferred not required)Hold an AWS certification (preferred not required)
