In this role, you will develop innovative solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud for Federal agencies, the Department of Defense, and government contractors.You will work with modern Salesforce technologies including Lightning Web Components, Apex, and Flow Builder while ensuring applications meet government security and compliance standards. This is a hands-on development position where you'll contribute to mission-critical applications that serve millions of citizens.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical DevelopmentLeads feature development across teams.Independently design and develop scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative toolsBuild complex integrations between Salesforce and government systems using REST/SOAP APIsDevelop solutions that work in air-gapped and offline environmentsOptimize applications for performance within governor limitsCreate reusable components and frameworks for government use casesTechnical LeadershipProvide technical guidance and mentorship to development team membersLead code reviews and establish coding standardsProvides oversight through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team.Collaborate with architects on technical design decisionsDrive adoption of best practices for Salesforce developmentParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planningContribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharingDevelop test plans and test automation for features and/or productsVerify quality of the code delivered through manual and automated testing. Extend the automation framework where necessary.Work closely with senior developers, PM, and UX to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirementsActively influence management regarding tools, technology and testing requirements.Troubleshoot production issues.Platform ExpertiseWork with OmniStudio for dynamic forms and business process automationImplement security controls for government compliance requirementsDevelop solutions using Platform Events and asynchronous processingBuild Experience Cloud sites for constituent-facing applicationsIntegrate with Salesforce Data Cloud and AI capabilitiesRequired Qualifications:Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of software development experience3+ years of Salesforce development experience including:Apex classes, triggers, and batch processingLightning Web Components or AuraSOQL/SOSL queriesDeclarative tools (Flow Builder, Process Builder)Experience with Agile development methodologiesTechnical SkillsSalesforce Platform: Expert-level Apex, LWC, Flow Builder, Process BuilderIntegration/Development: Java, REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data CaptureDevelopment Tools: Salesforce DX, Git, VS Code, CI/CD pipelinesTesting: Unit testing, integration testing, test automationPerformance: Governor limits optimization, query optimization, bulk processingSecurity: Understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, field-level securityCitizenship & ClearanceMust be a US CitizenMust be eligible to obtain Secret clearanceClean background suitable for positions of public trustNote: Active clearance is not required to applyPreferred Qualifications:Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, Administrator)Experience with Government Cloud or Public Sector SolutionsKnowledge of government compliance requirementsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Jira and ConfluenceUnderstanding of Salesforce security best practicesMissionForce delivers secure, compliant applications on Salesforce Government Cloud.
