The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in FCC policies and processes, established relationships across the agency, and a track record of successfully navigating complex regulatory environments. Key responsibilities include:FCC AdvocacyMonitor, analyze, and engage on FCC rulemakings and other proceedings affecting device manufacturersPrepare and coordinate FCC advocacy filingsDevice AuthorizationServe as the primary liaison between the FCC's Office of Engineering & Technology (OET) and Samsung’s device approval teams to ensure efficient review and approval for innovative, new products Anticipate and resolve issues that could delay device authorizationDevelop and maintain relationships with testing laboratories and technical consultantsExternal EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with FCC Commissioners' offices, OET leadership, and relevant Bureau staffCultivate partnerships with industry associations and peer companies on shared policy prioritiesRepresent the company at industry forums and FCC eventsInternal CollaborationPartner closely with engineering, product, and legal teams to align on device development timelines and other policy mattersProduce regular written updates to key business leaders on FCC-related issuesSkills and QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:10+ years of experience working on FCC matters, with experience in equipment authorizationEstablished relationships with FCC staff, including OETExcellent communication skills, with experience drafting regulatory submissionsBachelor’s degreePreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree (JD, technical graduate degree)Previous work experience at the FCCTechnical background in RF engineering, wireless technology, or related field#LI-KR1The salary range for this role is expected to be between $215,000 and $235,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
