The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our wafer fabrication processes, identifying complex problems, and implementing solutions to drive yield enhancement.Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's what you'll be responsibleMonitor and respond to in-line issues in the wafer fabrication etch process, ensuring timely disposition of wafers.Qualify wafer fabrication etch processes on advanced tools.Coordinate process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing and equipment teams.Analyze data using software tools to identify trends and inform processing decisions.Adjust process parameters as needed and monitor equipment performance after maintenance.Executes change point management on Etch processes / equipmentContinuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering field.1+ year of experience in a related field.Experience with 300mm Dry Etch processes.Familiarity with equipment platforms such as Lam, AMAT, TEL, Mattson, Hitachi, and/or PSK.Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and their implementation.Familiarity with Advanced Process Control (APC) techniques and its usageKnowledge of basic chemistry, scientific methods, and experimental design principlesStrong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with the team and other departmentsBasic understanding of wafer fabrication processes.Familiarity with advanced statistical methodsAbility to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and technical documents.All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.
