Position SummaryCarry out the 2nd shift fire protection operations. Contribute to the effective application of Fire & Life Safety, Property Protection, and Environmental Conservation.Role and ResponsibilitiesAssist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Fire Protection initiatives. Maintain relevant Fire Protection logs and documentation. Provide assistance and advice on fire protection related issues to facility management. Assist the Fire Protection Coordinator to ensure the company should meet all its legislative compliance obligations with International Fire Code, NFPA, OSHA, & ADA.Have knowledge and enforce compliance of Regulatory requirements (i.e., fire code, NFPA, etc.), including company policies and procedures. Observe Fire Protection NFPA & Fire Code regulations, wears all required PPE, promote safe working practices, correct hazards immediately or report the issue to the employee or supervisor who is responsible. Walk the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish Fire Protection presence and provide support. Conduct, coordinate and track various training to support company programs.Follow all fire and life safety and/or regulation changes that impact the organization.Act as a first responder to assist in emergency response.All other duties as assigned#LI-ONSITESkills and Qualifications• Education: Associate degree in safety related field preferred but not required.• Experience: 2 years of General risk assessments and other safety assessments. • Knowledge: Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
