Come build with us!Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.Responsible for performance analysis of current GPU hardware to provide insight for the design of next generation GPU architecture.Using, designing, and improving performance analysis toolchain and acquiring performance data on existing GPU hardware.Interfacing with architects, RTL designers, verification engineers, and software engineers to understand the acquired performance data and figure out current GPU performance bottleneck.Proposing and validating GPU architecture design revision plan to improve PPA (Power, performance, area) and PPW (performance per wat).Innovating neural-network-based rendering method to support super-resolution, raytracing denoising, and frame generation in mobile GPU.May work from home on a hybrid schedule within commutable distance of San Jose and surrounding areas.Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus one (1) year of experience in a related occupation working with C++/C++11, algorithms, data structures and scripting languages including Python and Bash; functional modeling; and development tools including revision control systems, debuggers, and make/cmake.Alternate Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus three (3) years of experience in a related occupation working with C++/C++11, algorithms, data structures and scripting languages including Python and Bash; functional modeling; and development tools including revision control systems, debuggers, and make/cmake OR a PhD or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field and zero years of experience.Total RewardsAt Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $193,353.00 - $297,200.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more.
