Come build with us!Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.Drive the RTL design of various sub-blocks for a GPU targeted to mobile market, as well as other adjacent market segments.Responsible for System Verilog RTL verification related to the development of power-efficient mobile graphic processors.Contribute to reviewing with respect to verification the micro-architecture specifications of the shader subsystem Graphic Processor blocks by close interaction with implementation and Micro-Architecture Engineers.Integrate and test intricate sub-blocks in the programmable shader subsystem of a low-power Graphics Processing Unit.Generate high quality test-bench infrastructures, which are well-documented, extensible, and easily invoked by the Implementation team.Assist with the bring-up of complex interactions among the various shader sub-blocks.Assist the Power and Performance teams in both measuring the design’s QoR and in working to verify thesemetrics.Debug, repair, and verify logic issues and bugs (both in RTL and gate-level netlists).Develop a comprehensive test suite for regressions and monitor the results of these tests to ensure regressions are spotted as early as possible.May work from home on a hybrid schedule from a commutable distance of the Austin office.Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus completion of a graduate level course, research project, or internship involving GPU/CPU/high performance digital designs; utilizing scripting languages including Perl, Python, and C/C++; Verilog/System Verilog coding to understand RTL designs under testing.Employer will accept skills gained in pursuit of university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently.Alternate Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related occupation involving GPU/CPU/high performance digital designs; utilizing scripting languages including Perl, Python, and C/C++; Verilog/System Verilog coding to understand RTL designs under testing.Total RewardsAt Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $164,528.00 - $186,000.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more.
