Come innovate with us!Position SummaryPosition SummarySenior Safety Technician is a member of the construction EHS team, responsible for partnering with employees and contractors to provide oversight and coaching, and serve as a front-line resource to accomplish work safely.Role and ResponsibilitiesHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Program Promotion and EnforcementProviding safety support to construction operationsEnabling Safe Work Environment Safe work environments must be completed by:Working collaboratively with field operationsUsing independent judgment to resolve safety-related issuesEnforcing corporate safety policies and proceduresUpholding our number one core value—Zero Harm Habits—with all stakeholdersAccident/Incident Management and Recordkeeping Accident/incident management includes:Conducting, tracking, and reporting: Accident/incident reports, near miss reports, auditor reports, engagement activities, observations, orientations, and safety trainings, daily and weekly activitiesMaintaining effective separation/other corporate safety program-related documentsWork Planning, Job Hazard Analysis, and Safe Work Procedures Completion of job reports includes:Work planning and development of jobOn-site Safety Assessments and InvestigationsCompletion of the daily safe work habits includes:Regular field safety inspectionsAccident/incident investigations (including root cause analysis)Industrial hygiene assessmentsSafety audits daily and weekly:Information gathering, written reporting about observed safe work activities.Skills and Qualifications3 years of field safety experience in heavy civil construction, transportation, or related fieldGED / High School Diploma requiredKnowledge of general construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA 1926Qualified to work toward a Certified Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certificate or equivalentCompleted OSHA 30 trainingKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills including Office 365 productivity suite#LI-NF1The current base pay range for this role is between $26.80 to $42.68. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.Total RewardsAt Samsung SAS, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
