Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Medicine team in Bemidji, Minnesota, on a PRN (as needed) basis. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care focused on the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and management of work-related injuries and illnesses. A Day in the Life

As an Occupational Medicine APP, your day will be varied and engaging. You might start by conducting pre-employment physicals to ensure new hires are fit for their roles. Then, you could evaluate and treat employees who have sustained injuries on the job, such as sprains, strains, or lacerations. You'll also perform functional capacity evaluations (FCEs) to determine an employee's ability to perform specific job tasks. Other responsibilities include administering drug and alcohol tests, conducting TB screenings, providing immunizations, and educating employees on injury prevention and ergonomics.
