Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Assistant - PRN in Bemidji, MN

A Day in the Life

As a Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the safety and whereabouts of all residents in the facility.
  • Observing and reporting patient behaviors to clinical staff.
  • Directly interacting with patients and providing support.
  • Delivering and documenting specific rehabilitative services to adult patients with mental illness.
  • Implementing rehabilitation interventions under the direction of licensed clinical staff.
  • Implementing independent living skills training with patients, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
  • Providing opportunities for social and interpersonal skills development through group activities and individual interactions.
  • Ensuring that patient chores and/or daily tasks are complete.
  • Providing transportation for patients to appointments, activities, or other destinations, as needed.
  • Participating in the admission process for patients and ensuring that rooms are prepped at time of discharge for the next admission.
  • Contributing to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facility.
  • Administering medications according to protocol (depending on the setting).
