CMA - Certified Medication Assistant - Local Traveler at Sanford Health in Kearney, Nebraska

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) to join our team as a Local Traveler in Kearney, Nebraska. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to our residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. This position offers a unique opportunity to travel to multiple locations within a 150-mile radius of Kearney, providing support and care to residents in various long-term care settings.

Role Overview

As a CMA Local Traveler, you will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of residents. This includes assisting with basic health care needs, such as activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. You will also provide psycho-social support, document care outcomes, and communicate any concerns or changes in condition to the charge nurse.

Your day as a CMA Local Traveler might include:

  • Assisting residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing.
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
