Sanford Health is seeking a skilled CNA to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society – Ellsworth, a 43-bed long-term care skilled nursing facility nestled in the peaceful Smokey Hills of central Kansas. This evening shift position offers the chance to provide resident-centered care and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
As a CNA at Sanford Health, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their vital signs, and provide emotional support. Your responsibilities will include:
Your day as a CNA will be filled with opportunities to connect with and care for our residents. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect:
2:00 PM: Arrive at the Good Samaritan Society – Ellsworth and receive report from the outgoing shift. Review resident care plans and prepare for your shift.
2:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Help residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort. Serve meals and assist residents with feeding, providing a positive dining experience.
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Take and record vital signs. Assist residents with toileting and incontinence care. Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in conversation and activities.
9:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Document resident care and report any changes in condition to the RN. Prepare residents for bed and ensure their comfort and safety. Give report to the oncoming shift.

You must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Kansas or be eligible to obtain certification within four months of hire. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
This is a part-time evening shift position, with scheduled hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You will be required to work rotating weekends and holidays.
CNAs are required to wear scrubs. Specific color requirements may vary by facility.
