CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - PT - Evening Shift at Sanford Health in Ellsworth, KS

Role Overview

As a CNA at Sanford Health, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their vital signs, and provide emotional support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

A Day in the Life of a CNA

2:00 PM: Arrive at the Good Samaritan Society – Ellsworth and receive report from the outgoing shift. Review resident care plans and prepare for your shift.

2:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Help residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort. Serve meals and assist residents with feeding, providing a positive dining experience.

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Take and record vital signs. Assist residents with toileting and incontinence care. Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in conversation and activities.

9:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Document resident care and report any changes in condition to the RN. Prepare residents for bed and ensure their comfort and safety. Give report to the oncoming shift.
