What qualifications are required for this position?
To be considered for this position, you must have graduated from an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging or have an Allied Health Certificate/Diploma, or equivalent experience. You must also be registered in at least one of the following: RDMS, RVT, ARRT, or registry eligible. BLS certification is required within six weeks of employment.
Is prior experience required?
While prior experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. If you have a strong educational background and a passion for sonography, we encourage you to apply.
What is the typical work schedule?
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. There are no weekends or on-call responsibilities associated with this position.
What type of ultrasound examinations will I be performing?
You will be performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies. Based on the facility, some Sanford markets/facility sites may expand job responsibilities to include echocardiography.
Will I be required to work with patients of all ages?
Yes, you will be working with patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. You must have an understanding of age-related protocols for various testing.
