As a Dietary Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of residents in our long-term care facilities are met. As a Dietary Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our long-term care facilities in Eastern Minnesota. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as the organization's standards and policies. You will work closely with dietary managers, regional consultants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective dietary programs that meet the unique needs of our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
Each day as a Dietary Consultant will bring new challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You may start your day by reviewing resident charts and nutritional assessments to identify any concerns or areas for improvement. You will then collaborate with the dietary team to develop and implement appropriate interventions.
Throughout the day, you will provide training and education to dietary staff on topics such as food safety, menu planning, and therapeutic diets. You will also conduct audits of dietary operations to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
In addition to your daily tasks, you will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects and initiatives, such as developing new menus, implementing new technologies, or participating in quality improvement programs.
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Eastern Minnesota. The qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (preferred), one year of experience in food and nutrition at management and consultation levels, CDM/CFPP certification or licensure as a Registered Dietitian, and ServSafe certification within the first year of hire if not CDM certified.
