  • Process patient information accurately and timely.
  • Receive inquiries and orders in person, by telephone, fax, and email.
  • Gather necessary documentation for payer requirements, procedures, and compliance.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for services according to payer policy.
  • Communicate coverage, use, and benefits of DME to patients, caregivers, and providers.
  • Resolve customer concerns, questions, and complaints.
  • Coordinate appropriate corrective action for patient issues.
  • Anticipate patient needs and respond to requests promptly.
  • Input patient demographics and ordering information into the computer system.
  • Ensure accuracy of sale orders and delivery tickets.
  • Educate patients on insurance plans, financial responsibility, and payment collection.
  • Assist patients with product selection, recommending appropriate DME.
  • Provide fitting and patient education on product use, care, and outcomes.
  • Educate patients in store, facility or home environments.
  • Furnish patients with resources (handbooks, contact numbers, product manuals).
  • Process paperwork and confirm accuracy of delivery tickets.
  • Maintain knowledge of billing, documentation, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Balance the cash drawer and prepare deposits.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, stocked, and sanitized store.
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision and independent judgment.
  • Work after store hours in an on-call capacity (as required).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
