Sanford Health, a leading healthcare system in the Upper Midwest, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our growing team in Fargo, North Dakota. As a CNM at Sanford Health, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women and their families throughout the reproductive lifecycle.
This full-scope midwifery practice offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services. You will partner closely with our OBGYN team to support postpartum care for all OB patients and the initial triage of all patients presenting to the Family Birth Center.
Your weekly schedule will include one day of outpatient clinic (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and one dedicated 24-hour inpatient shift per week. The call commitment is light, approximately 2–4 shifts per month, and is exclusively for CNM patients, ensuring no cross-coverage.

What are the qualifications for this position?
A Master’s degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) level education is required from an approved accredited nursing educational program of the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) and American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). You must also have active certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with prescriptive authority.
