To become a CNA at Sanford Health, you must have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), be at least 18 years of age, and possess a valid CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing. If you're not yet certified, you must be enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement within four months of your start date.
A Local Traveler CNA provides resident-centered care and daily living assistance at multiple Sanford Health locations within a 150-mile radius of your permanent address. You'll gain diverse experiences and expand your skillset while providing essential care to residents in need.
Sanford Health provides mileage reimbursement for required travel between locations. The reimbursement rate is determined by Sanford Health policy and is subject to change.
Sanford Health offers premium pay rates for certain shifts, including a $5/hour premium on all hours worked, a $1.25/hour weekend shift differential, and a $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
As a Local Traveler CNA, you're required to work a minimum of 30 hours per month.
You're required to work at least one weekend shift per month.
Sanford Health provides comprehensive training to all CNAs, including orientation, on-the-job training, and ongoing professional development opportunities. You'll also receive specialized training in areas such as dementia care and infection control.
