Day in the Life

As a Food Service Assistant-Dishwasher, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining services. Here's a glimpse into what you can expect:

• Morning Shift: Arrive and prepare the dishwashing area, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Begin washing dishes, utensils, and cookware from breakfast service. Assist with preparing food items for lunch, such as salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Monitor and record food temperatures to comply with HACCP guidelines.
• Mid-Day: Continue washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen area. Set up the serving area for lunch, ensuring it is clean and well-stocked. Serve food items to residents and staff, providing friendly and efficient service. Restock food and supplies as needed.
• Afternoon: Wash dishes and clean up after lunch service. Prepare the dishwashing area for dinner service. Assist with preparing food items for dinner, such as entrees, side dishes, and desserts. Monitor and record food temperatures to comply with HACCP guidelines.
