  • Counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations according to established protocols, including initiating CPR and contacting emergency medical services.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, following infection control guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of the long-term care facility and Sanford Health.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and protect resident rights.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance nursing skills.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
