This full-time position offers a challenging and fulfilling opportunity to provide high-quality care in a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

Role Overview

As an Emergency Medicine Physician at Sanford Health, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, diagnosing, and providing initial treatment to patients of all age groups who present to the emergency department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of experienced physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

A typical day in the Emergency Department involves:

  • Evaluating and treating a wide range of medical emergencies, from minor illnesses to life-threatening injuries.
  • Performing physical examinations and ordering diagnostic tests to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
  • Collaborating with specialists to provide comprehensive care for complex cases.
  • Documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.

Our staffing model includes 24/7 double coverage, with triple and quadruple coverage during peak hours, ensuring that you have the support you need to provide the best possible care. The Hospitalist Service takes unassigned patient admits, allowing you to focus on emergency care.
