Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to join our expanding Neurology department in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team of 12 neurologists and contribute to a thriving and growing practice. As a Neurologist at Sanford Health, you will provide comprehensive neurological care to patients of all ages, diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders, and participate in the education of medical students and residents.

A Day in the Life

As a Neurologist at Sanford Health, your day will involve: * Conducting thorough neurological examinations to assess patient conditions. * Ordering and interpreting neuroimaging studies, such as MRIs, CT scans, and EEGs. * Performing and interpreting EMGs and nerve conduction studies. * Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders. * Managing patients with acute neurological conditions, such as stroke and seizures. * Providing consultations to other physicians and healthcare professionals. * Educating patients and families about neurological conditions and treatment options. * Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care. * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records. * Contributing to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines. * Participating in research and quality improvement initiatives. * Supervising and mentoring medical students and residents.
