A Day in the Life of an Otolaryngologist at Sanford Health

As an Otolaryngologist at Sanford Health, your day will be varied and challenging, offering a blend of clinical care, surgical procedures, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Here's a glimpse of what a typical day might look like:
  • Morning: Start your day with patient consultations, evaluating and diagnosing a range of otolaryngological conditions. This could involve examining patients with ear infections, sinus problems, voice disorders, or head and neck masses.

  • Perform surgical procedures related to otolaryngology, including but not limited to tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tympanoplasty, sinus surgery, and head and neck cancer surgery.
  • Manage and treat disorders of the ears, nose, throat, respiratory and upper alimentary systems, and related structures of the head and neck.
  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with head and neck oncology, including diagnosis, staging, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Perform facial plastic and reconstructive surgery to correct deformities and improve appearance.
  • Treat disorders of hearing and voice, including hearing loss, tinnitus, and vocal cord dysfunction.
