Role Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to join our growing team in Fargo, North Dakota. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive urological care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of a wide range of conditions.

A Day in the Life of a Urologist at Sanford Health

As a Urologist at Sanford Health, your day will be varied and challenging. You may start with morning rounds at the hospital, followed by outpatient clinic appointments. You will see patients with a variety of urological conditions, including:

  • Urinary tract infections
  • Kidney stones
  • Prostate enlargement
  • Urological cancers
  • Incontinence
  • Erectile dysfunction

You will perform diagnostic procedures such as cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and urodynamic studies. You will also perform surgical procedures, including:

  • Robotic surgery
  • Laser surgery
  • Nephrectomy
  • Prostatectomy
  • Cystectomy
  • ESWL
  • TURP
  • Urolift

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree (experience)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (experience)
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Urology residency program accredited by the ACGME (experience)
  • Ability to perform history and physical examinations (experience)
  • Proficiency in pre-, intra-, and postoperative care for urological patients of all ages (experience)
  • Experience in Urologic surgical procedures for patients of all ages (experience)
  • Knowledge of genitourinary system disorders (experience)
  • Knowledge of adrenal gland disorders (experience)
  • Experience in endoscopic, percutaneous, and open surgery techniques (experience)
  • Experience in treating congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems (experience)
  • Ability to demonstrate at least 50 urology procedures in the last 12 months, or provide residency log if newly completed. (experience)
