Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro Med Surg team in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a unique opportunity to work straight weekends on a unit specializing in neurovascular, neurosurgical, and neurological patients. A Day in the Life of a Neuro Med Surg RN

Your day as a Neuro Med Surg RN at Sanford Health will be dynamic and rewarding. You'll start your shift by receiving report from the off-going nurse, reviewing patient charts, and prioritizing your tasks. Throughout the day, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing comprehensive patient assessments, including neurological assessments.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitoring patient vital signs and neurological status.
  • Documenting patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Providing patient and family education on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
  • Responding to patient needs and emergencies promptly and effectively.
