Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Worthington Medical Center. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in the General Medicine and ICU departments, while also cross-training with the Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient-centered nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to elderly, in medical, surgical, intensive care, and postpartum/routine newborn nursery settings.

Day in the Life

As an RN in this role, you will:

• Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and document observations accurately.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide wound care and other specialized nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Adhere to all Sanford Health policies and procedures.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to cross-train in the Emergency Department, expanding your skill set and knowledge base.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is estimated between $65,000 and $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Actual salary is based on experience, education and certifications. Required certifications on hire or within six months of hire include: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Training Equivalent, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
