A Day in the Life

As an RN at Sanford Health, your day will be dynamic and fulfilling. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect:

  • 6:30 AM: Start your shift by receiving handoff reports from the night shift nurses. Review resident charts and care plans to prepare for the day.
  • 7:00 AM: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor vital signs and assess residents' overall condition.
  • 8:00 AM: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • 9:00 AM: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • 10:00 AM: Provide wound care and other specialized treatments as needed.
  • 11:00 AM: Educate residents and families about their health conditions and treatment plans.
